Hybrid trail ride

I borrowed my sister’s hybrid again today for our weekly mountain biking session. There’s a complicated logistical story behind the decision to ride the hybrid but it’s not that interesting so I won’t bore you with it.

We rode a heap of single trails this morning; twisting and turning our way through the bush. Our skills and fitness are improving. We are now riding almost all the hills and trails instead of walking. We are even hitting the logs and obstacles with more confidence.

The next step for us is to pick up our speed so that we are riding faster than an average speed of 10kph. It’d be nice to be riding at 15kph by the end of April.

I was going to follow the MTB ride with a long road ride but decided to go home to do chores instead. I want to surprise my partner with a clean house, mowed lawn and dinner on the table when she gets home from work tonight.

Total: 17.76km mountain bike

    • LOL. I don’t clean the house regularly enough so am left with a bit of a pigsty to deal with today. I am looking forward to next year when we are living in an apartment that is smaller (so easier to clean) and doesn’t have a yard to mow because then I can go cycling all day instead :)
